Self-Driven
Self-Driven
Let members choose what they want to work on — work for themselves
Why Self-Driven
When team members are constantly told what to do, they develop a feeling of "working for someone else." The consequences:
- When facing difficulties, they tend to come up with reasons why it "can't be done" rather than finding solutions
- Their standard for completing tasks stays at "just get it done" rather than striving for excellence
- They lack initiative, waiting to be assigned the next task
The core of being self-driven is: let members choose what they want to do. When a person works on something they chose themselves:
- They treat it as "their own thing" and naturally strive to do it well
- When facing difficulties, they find solutions rather than making excuses to give up
- They proactively think about how to do it better, not just how to finish it
